HoliHab exists because too many people leave hospital after a stroke and are left to recover on a fraction of the therapy they need. We decided that wasn't good enough.
Most stroke survivors receive around 52 minutes of rehabilitation a week after leaving hospital — barely a fraction of the dose national guidelines recommend. The result is slower recovery, lost independence, and families left feeling abandoned at the moment they need support most.
Our founder watched this happen at close hand. Both his grandmothers lived that reality: one lost her life to delayed care, the other still fights to speak after months of under-dosed therapy. Those experiences are the reason HoliHab insists on real therapeutic intensity — and treats the family as part of the recovery, not an afterthought.
We don't promise recovery. No honest clinician can. What we promise is structure, honesty, clinical excellence, consistency, and a system designed to give every patient the best possible chance of progress.
We have a plan, we will guide you, and we will work with you and your family to give you the best possible chance of achieving your goals.
Recovery is driven by sustained, meaningful, challenging activity woven into real life — not isolated exercises done in a clinic.
We use repetition and challenge deliberately, and count the dose — because the evidence is clear that intensity changes outcomes.
Rehabilitation works best when the people around you understand the plan and can reinforce it. We train and support families as part of the team.
We're realistic about what's possible, transparent about cost, and we never recommend a programme likely to cause financial strain.
Sessions are led or supervised by an HCPC-registered neuro-physiotherapist with stroke experience. Caseloads are capped so quality never slips.
We rehabilitate in your home and community — cooking, walking to the shop, climbing stairs — because that's where recovery actually has to hold.
Tracking, wearables and a clear dashboard turn small gains into proof you can see — and let us adjust your plan as you go.
A small, accountable team — each with a clear role in your recovery.
